Smartphone speakers have steadily improved, and many handsets today deliver convincing stereo performance thanks to dual drivers on opposite edges. Redmi is pushing that progress further by adding a dedicated subwoofer inside its new flagship.
The Redmi K90 Pro Max will introduce what amounts to a 2.1 audio setup with stereo speakers plus a separate bass driver built into the phone’s body.
Built-in Bose subwoofer promises deeper, more immersive sound

Official reveal in China is scheduled for Thursday, but the unusual rear-mounted speaker element showed up on promo images earlier and sparked speculation. A credible source has now confirmed on Weibo that the component is a Bose-branded subwoofer.
That extra driver should make audio playback noticeably more immersive, especially for watching movies, gaming, and listening to music. The setup will pair the standard stereo pair with the subwoofer to deliver a fuller low end than typical smartphone speakers.
Flagship specs are coming, including a new chipset
Besides the novel audio system, Redmi is positioning the K90 Pro Max as a high-end device. The phone will be equipped with a new chipset, underlining its flagship ambitions.
Redmi’s combination of advanced audio hardware and top-tier internals aims to create a more compelling multimedia handset for users who value sound as much as performance.
