Ooni’s new electric pizza oven, the Volt 2, brings a level of automation to home pizza-making with a feature the company calls Pizza Intelligence. The system uses sensor data to adaptively manage heat so temperatures inside the oven stay even, which Ooni says eliminates cold spots and burnt edges.
Design and capacity

The Volt 2 presents a clean, modern design, but the important stuff is inside: the oven accommodates pizzas up to 33 centimeters in diameter. Ooni also built in air filters to keep kitchen air cleaner during cooking, addressing concerns about smoke and odors escaping into the home.
Performance and modes

Pizza Intelligence adjusts power between the top and bottom heating elements. The oven reaches a maximum temperature of 450 °C, which Ooni says is suitable for Neapolitan-style pizza and can cook one in about 90 seconds. Users can pick from three preset cooking modes—Neapol, New York, and deep pan—or save custom settings.
Volt 2 also includes a gentle dough-proving mode for proofing dough, rounding out its feature set for at-home pizza makers who want a start-to-finish solution.
Size and availability
Ooni says the Volt 2 is about 30 percent more compact than the previous model. Sales begin on October 1, with a U.S. price of $699, roughly 14,500 Czech koruna. Ooni notes Czech customers will most likely not get the product.
