Google’s Pixel 10 Leak Wave: Early Superfan Previews, Ad Shoot Photos, and a Homegrown Tensor G5

Leaks and rumors around Google’s next Pixel phones have been accelerating, leaving the company with little left to reveal at launch. The latest blur of reports includes early Superfan previews, on-set photos from an ad shoot that clearly show the phone, and fresh details about the color lineup.

What’s emerging paints a familiar story: an evolutionary design, new color choices, and one major hardware change that could redefine the series. Here’s what we know so far.

Launch timing and an early Superfan preview

Google reportedly invited select Pixel Superfans to get an exclusive early look at the new models before the official unveiling. While the invitation doesn’t explicitly use the name Pixel 10, that designation is the most likely and would align with the expected Android 16 stable release on Tuesday, June 3.

Most sources now expect the formal reveal to return at a Made by Google event in mid-August. The Superfan previews would take place roughly six weeks earlier, by which time the hardware should be final.

Design: don’t expect a revolution

Leaks suggest the Pixel 10 line will stick close to the current aesthetic rather than introduce radical design changes. Storyboard photos from an ad shoot—said to show the Pixel 10 Pro on set—indicate a look that is very similar, if not nearly identical, to the outgoing generation.

That means the most noticeable physical difference may come down to color options rather than a fresh industrial design.

Color palettes: brighter options for the base model

According to leaks, the Pixel 10 standard model will ship in Obsidian (Black), Blue, Iris (Purple), and Limoncello (Yellow). The Limoncello yellow could replace the lighter Porcelain beige variant seen on the Pixel 9.

The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are said to arrive in Obsidian (Black), Green, Sterling (Gray), and Porcelain (White).

Tensor G5: Google’s first from-scratch Tensor

The headline hardware change is the new Tensor G5 chip. For the first time, Google reportedly designed the processor entirely in-house rather than building on Samsung’s Exynos architecture used by earlier Tensor chips.

Manufacturing is expected to be handled by TSMC on its advanced second-generation 3nm process (N3E). That combination could deliver the biggest generational jump in performance and efficiency we’ve seen from Pixel devices.

Beyond raw speed, a homegrown Tensor G5 could let Google roll out more exclusive software and AI features—an important incentive for users to upgrade, especially given Google’s seven-year software support commitment.

Model lineup and software

The new phones will run Android 16. Google is expected to offer the standard Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, along with a larger Pixel 10 Pro XL. Leaks also point to a third-generation foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Taken together, the rumors point to a familiar-looking Pixel family with a meaningful internal overhaul. If the Tensor G5 delivers as expected, Google could finally close the gap on flagship rivals while keeping the software-driven Pixel experience its biggest distinguishing factor.
