Vorwerk Ships Thermomix TM7 with Bigger Screen, Smarter Features, and Quiet Motor

Vorwerk’s latest kitchen multicooker, the Thermomix TM7, continues a lineage that stretches back to the VKM5 introduced in 1961. Although the TM7 carries a new name, it is effectively the 11th generation of the Thermomix platform.

The appliance combines more than 20 cooking functions into a single machine, integrating an internal scale, induction heating, chopping, mixing, kneading, and steaming to prepare a wide range of recipes.

Why Vorwerk argues this is a practical smart appliance?

Thermomix’s core benefit is automation: users add ingredients, select a recipe and the machine manages temperature, timing and stirring. That hands-off approach has attracted home cooks, busy families and people with dietary restrictions such as celiac disease.

Vorwerk positions the TM7 as a useful tool rather than a gimmick. The hardware pairs with Cookidoo, Vorwerk’s recipe portal, which offers more than 100,000 recipes. That combination is designed to help people who do not enjoy cooking or who need strict dietary control.

What’s new in the TM7?

The TM7 adds a large 10-inch display and a connected Cookidoo app. A “digital twin” feature mirrors real-time activity like ingredient weighing and walks users through each recipe step.

Vorwerk highlights a higher-performing yet quieter motor, plus a roughly 45 percent increase in steam-cooking basket capacity. The TM7 also includes personalized profiles for household members that account for taste preferences, a locking mechanism that allows open-top cooking without the mixing bowl lid, a modular platform prepared for future AI features, and smartphone connectivity.

Availability and a farewell offer for the previous model

The new Thermomix TM7 from Vorwerk, based in Wuppertal, Germany, is available for preorder now.

Vorwerk is also offering a send-off package for the previous-generation Thermomix TM6. For 36,995 Czech koruna buyers receive a TM6 plus extra accessories: a two-in-one multifunction slicer, a second mixing bowl, a Thermomix Sensor, a two-in-one protective blade cover, and an extended five-year warranty.
